SHSS WEEKLY ROUNDUP - Friday 9th September 2022

ONE FULL WEEK DOWN! 

Last week the exhaustion levels were 10 + 

This week? About 8. Getting accustomed to the pace, but not as quickly as we’d like. It’s just so hard to get up in the mornings…

On a brighter note, the deluge of rain has subsided and we have blue skies once more. Enjoy the sun as long as it lasts. 

Liturgy of the week: The 1st year one in the GPR. Time to reflect and bond. 

Boffins of the week: The 5th year Chemistry students who did the Flame Test!

Foragers of the week : The 3rd years who went blackberry picking for some ‘glossy purple clots’.

Historical moment of the week: The death of Queen Elizabeth II. 

Legend  of the week : Norma Foley TD for finalising the plans for the LC and JC 2023, making our lives easier.  

Most stressful day of the week: Thursday. We sincerely hope that all of the Class of 22 are on the path that they wanted. 

Exciting news of the week : The SHSS musical is underway! The songs of Oliver will be resonating around school from now until the performance. How about a flash mob of ‘Food, Glorious Food’ in the Ref? 

Maybe not :)

Worst day of the week weather wise: Wednesday. No question.

Presenter of the week: Alannah Wrynn in LC who spoke about sustainability at the Kennedy Summer School.
