Casandra O Sullivan, Healthcare Assistant.

Best memory of Sacred Heart:
I would say that my favourite memory of Sacred Heart is going on football outings. The friends I made while playing sports were really nice. I would also say BT Young Scientist Competition in Transition Year was also a good memory. it was a great opportunity and something I will always remember.
What were your favourite classes?
My favourite class was definitely PE, we always had a great laugh during PE.
Tell us about your career progression to date:
So since I finished in Sacred Heart, I went to college to study Personal training in CSN. I decided that it wasn’t really for me and took a bit of time out and took up full time employment. I then decided a year later what I wanted to do which was care for people such as elderly. I went and studied a Healthcare Assistant course in College of Commerce and then began working in a nursing home. I’ve worked in a few nursing homes over the last three years. I have now changed my path a small bit, I am still a healthcare assistant but I now work with people with intellectual disabilities which I really enjoy.
If you weren’t in the job you have, what would you be doing?
I think I would have gone travelling, I feel like you can’t get to see enough of the world!
Advice you would give your teenage self:
The advice I would give to my younger self is to cherish every moment of life as it goes by so so fast…

What is your hidden talent?
I actually don’t think I have a hidden talent really to be honest.
