5th Year students participate in West Cork Youth Mental Health Day

YSI Advocates with 5th year students went to Dunmanway to the West Cork Youth Mental Health day on Thursday 9th March 2017. 12 schools in West Cork were gathered to learn; how physical health and mental health are interlinked and the valuable resource Reach-Out.com is to help people learn more about themselves.

In the afternoon we had a selection of workshops to choose from. There was Boxing, Drumming, Chakra movement, Jigsaw “It’s time to start talking” Stress and Anxiety by the HSE and Meditation. This was a very informative day and all involved agreed that “It’s ok to not feel ok and it is absolutely ok to ask for help”
