Student Council

The student council have continued to work hard over the past few weeks; We raised over €560 for ‘Helping Gavin beat it’, and €320 for Temple Street children’s hospital. We have continued to play an upbeat song ever Friday afternoon just before school comes to an end, and have received very positive reactions from both students and teachers. At the school trade fair in November we surveyed teachers and students, asking their opinions on the work of the student council over the first term. Two members of the student council have joined the ‘Student voice’ (A group of students from the Peer mentors, YSI advocates and Student council). This group allows us to collaborate with other student organisations, sharing our progress and goals. The student council have continued to meet once a week to discuss and resolve issues brought to us, and plan for future events. We are currently planning the school sports day.
