Coding Club at Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart Coding Club began in earnest today for students from First, Second and Third Year with an interest in computers. Students begin with a six week course in scratch coding, which will expose them to many basics concepts of Computer Science and Coding in a fun environment. Students will be creating digital animations and computer games using, basic algorithm structures, critical thinking and teamwork.

Earlier this year Sacred Heart became one of the first schools in the country to offer Computer Science as a Leaving Certificate subject. Considering the career prospects in Information Technology locally, nationally and internationally, this is an exciting area for Sacred Heart to be at the forefront of.
