Coiste na Gaeilge raise funds for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association in Sacred Heart
Gerardine Hayes visited the school on Tuesday to meet the Cosite na Gaeilge committee. The girls presented her with a cheque for €300 for IMNDA. The money was the proceeds for a very enjoyable ‘lip sync’ competition, where students and teachers took to the stage to lip sync to Irish pop songs.
Gerardine was an active members of the Parents’ Association for six years serving as chairperson for four years. Even thought her daughter Meadhbh graduated from Sacred Heart in 2016 Gerardine continues to take an active interest in school life and continues to support the school.
Many thanks to their teacher Ms Meade.
