Sacred Heart's "Drive for a Greener School"

The Cool Clon Launch on Friday 15th saw students from our school participate in the exciting initiative led by Clonakilty business community promoting the towns green credentials and the plan for Clonakilty sustainability,

The Junk Kouture teams who have designed, or are designing fashion to highlight the impacts of plastics and the petro-chemical industry were there.

They displayed their fashion designs with plastic bottles 'strangling' them

Our YSI students working on the project 'Taste it, Don't Waste It' about food waste and systems were there finding out about new systems of dealing with waste, including Kieran Coffey's 'The Gug'!

Members of our Green Schools committee picked up tips on waste systems useful to them as they continue to work on the Green Schools flag initiative!

Speakers at the launch were Norman Crowley from Cool Planet, Harold Kingston, an award winning farmer from Courtmacsherry and our town mayor, Michael O'Neill jnr.
