The following link to the youtube video looks at the connection between exercise, fitness, and your immune system, and in particular, it looks at the body's response to the current COVID 19 virus. It outlines how moderate exercise can lead to a stronger immune system and it outlines various types of exercises that can be classed as moderate. It also outlines that overtraining or excessive training can have a negative effect on the immune system. It also looks at the dangers of "social closening" in terms of fitness, group exercises, and team sports. As the lockdown restrictions are being eased over the next few weeks this video may be useful in outlining the importance of exercise but also the importance of social distancing. It can be a little heavy on the science at times but I believe the more senior classes would gain from this and in particular many parents would find it interesting.
