Exploring Future Pathways: National Tertiary Office Visit & Apprenticeship Expo 11th,March.
Gobnait Burke, FET–HE Programme Development Coordinator at Bishopstown Campus, visited the school to present valuable information on the National Tertiary Office. Students learned about Tertiary Degrees, which provide an alternative pathway into a range of courses. This application process allows students to demonstrate their suitability through an interview and a personal statement, offering a great option for students who wish to showcase their strengths beyond exam results.
A huge thank you to our Career Guidance team, Ms Sexton and Ms Crowley, for organising two excellent opportunities for our senior cycle students.
Information brochures from the National Tertiary Office are also available online (please see below), outlining key details on transitioning pathways between Further Education and Higher Education. These brochures include a QR code (also available below) which students can scan for more information on courses and entry requirements.
Senior cycle students are also highly encouraged to attend the Apprenticeship Expo at the Cork College of FET Open Day on March, 11th. This event is an excellent opportunity to explore apprenticeship routes, meet employers, and learn about the wide range of career pathways available.
Parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend, as this important event offers a chance to meet employers and support students in making links with a wide range of companies.
