Sophie Bell captains Irish debating team at the World Schools’ Debating Championship 2026.

Sophie Bell was captain of Team Ireland for the World Schools’ Debating Championship 2026 this summer. The competition was held in Nairobi, Kenya in July. It was Sophie’s second year on the team, as she had travelled to Panamá with the team in 2025. In the end, Team Ireland came 12th in the world, Well done from all at Sacred Heart.
