Sacred Heart Secondary School shortlisted in this year’s Bord Gáis Energy Student Theatre Awards

Awards ceremony to take place on 5 May 2016

The students have been busy in Germany with lots of activities. As well as improving their German and attending some classes in the local school, the students have been immersed in many planned activities. 

Arrived in Waldaschaff on Wednesday after being picked up at the Airport by the school caretaker Steffi and her friend from the local Fire Department, "Simon" where we were transported by Fire Vehicle to the school!

6th Year students, Aoife Dullea, Laura Clancy, Meabhdh Sexton & Clionadh Condon were crowned winners of the inaugural  Certified Irish Angus competition in Croke Park yesterday. The competition, which has been running for over 2 years, saw the students rare 5 Angus calfs through the theme of sustainability.

Well done to Grainne Cullinane on being acknowledged recently for her Junior Cert Technology project. She is pictured here with her award and her teacher Mr. Woods. 

Well done to the TY Mini Compnay Team who secured 3rd place at the recent mini company finals in Skibbereen.

The Sacred Heart minor hockey team, which comprises of second year students, successfully won the Minor B1 South Hockey League this week. This follows on from the students success in winning the first year hockey league last year.

Well done to the 40 students from Sacred Heart Secondary School who completed the 10km run challenge.

Well done to Orla Scally who won a high achiever award for  her Grade 5 Singing Examination with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. 

Congratulation and well done to Niamh Huethorst who won the Senior Woodwind section at the Feis Maitiú competition recently.
