“Giving at Christmas”

Compassion and Community Support are key at Clonakilty St Vincent de Paul

Well done to our TY students who were involved in this year’s Food Appeal here at Sacred Heart during the last month. Thanks to Santa Kevin, his two Third Year Elves , Clara and Sara, who delivered the food collected to the Clonakilty Lodge Accommodation Centre. The centre, which is run by the Reception and Integration Agency (RIA), opened in 2000 and currently houses 100 people, including 40 families of varying nationalities.

Well done also to Transition Year students who took part in the annual St Vincent De Paul’s Fund Raising Collection on Saturday, December 13th.THE Society of St Vincent de Paul in Clonakilty continues to be a vital source of hope and support for those in need within the local community. Over the past year, the organisation has provided assistance to families and individuals facing hardship, offering essentials such as food, fuel, and housing — as well as life-changing educational opportunities.

Thanks to the members of St St Vincent de Paul for all that you continue to do for our Community.
