Mini Med UCC 2026

Two of our Transition Year students, Julie Cunningham and Lucea Fitzpatrick Notte , attended the Mini Med Programme in UCC on Friday January 30th .Thanks to Science Teacher Mr Mahon who accompanied them.

The School of Medicine at UCC hosts the Prep for Med School day annually across the Brookfield Health Science Complex, Western Gateway Building ,and Cork University Hospital. This hugely popular programme allows young people to experience both the life ,and the facilities available to medical students in UCC’s School of Medicine.  Transition Year students have the opportunity to tour the facilities in the School of Medicine, gain "hands on" experience of clinical skills teaching and attend lectures delivered by the academic and clinical staff of UCC's School of Medicine.
