Science Week at Sacred Heart Secondary School

Last week was ‘Science Week’ in the school. The week started with a fun Quiz hosted by Ms. O’Donovan, followed by a ‘Science Movie day’ on the Tuesday where students watched ‘The Miracle of Life’. Wednesday, students searched hard to find the murderer on the ‘Solve the Crime Scavenger Hunt’.

The week ended with a Science Exhibition in the Chemistry lab by Dr. Galvin and Ms. O’Donovan with students dissecting hearts, making lava lamps, exploring static electricity, crushing cans, balancing ping pong balls with hoovers and brightening up the room with the flames of the different metal salts. Yet again another very successful and enjoyable Science Week!
