Sacred Heart Welcomes Bishop Fintan Gavin of the Diocese of Cork and Ross

Today, we were deeply honoured to welcome Bishop Fintan Gavin, Bishop of the Diocese of Cork and Ross, and Mr Paul Kelly, Diocesan Co-ordinator for Post Primary Schools, to Sacred Heart Secondary School.

It was a morning filled with faith, hope, and community as we gathered in prayer and reflection under our school theme for 2025–2026 — Be You. Belong. Become.

We are so grateful to Bishop Fintan for his presence, his words of encouragement, and his inspiring message of hope to our students, staff, and wider school community.

A sincere thank you also to our Student Council, Principal Ms Ann Marie Brosnan, Deputy Principal Mr Brendan Walsh, Rev. Fr. Tom Hayes, Mrs Catherine O’Connor, Chairperson of our Board of Management, our wonderful RE Department and and our Music Department, whose beautiful performances and hymns helped make today’s celebration so special.
