History Brought to Life: 5th Years Attend “The Soldier and the Spy

Ms. O' Donovan's 5th year History class were priviledged to be invited to Collins Barracks Cork yesterday. After a tour of the military museum there was a performance of "The Soldier and the Spy". Set during the turbulent times of the War of Independence in Cork the play tells the incredible true love-story of Florrie O' Donoghue (Head of Intelligence, Cork 1st Brigade) and his wife Josephine.
