West Cork Rally comes to Sacred Heart

West Cork Rally Expo - 3rd of March 2026

Ed Twomey , and other members of the organising committee of the West Cork Rally ,along with Art McCarrick of Motorsport Ireland ,visited Sacred Heart as part of Engineering week . Their presentation involved showing us the different safety features of a Rally Car , and equipment that the drivers, and co drivers must wear while in the car during the event. They also showed us the pacenotes and roadbook. Other safety equipment that they showed us included the fire proof Helmets, the Hans device ( Head and neck support device), and the fireproof suit and underclothing.
