“Time for Me”

“Time is our most valuable, non-renewable resource, acting as a "river" that flows forward, making every moment crucial for building the future we want. As teenagers, managing time—balancing schooltime/work time with "me time" , this could include hobbies, sport, time with friends, time alone—is key to reducing stress, avoiding regret, and building self-confidence, ensuring we make some attempt to use every day wisely.”

As part of this year’s Transition Year Activity Week our Transition year students took part in three Workshops based on the main theme “And Now It’s Time for Me……..” The three Workshops were :Mindfulness delivered by Fintan McDermor, Yoga delivered by Odette and The By-Stander Effect delivered by Celine Griffin.

Advice from one Teenager to Another :

Time flows like a river, and no one can stop it. We need time for studies, play, and relaxation. Students who plan their time do better in exams and have time for hobbies. When we waste time, opportunities slip away, leading to regrets. All great achievers respect time and manage it wisely. Set priorities, avoid distractions, and be punctual. Remember, time is precious—use it wisely.

“Let’s use our time well…….But let’s not forget to make time for me…….That will be the key to today’s Work shops….Enjoy……….‍ ‍
