Transition Year Students Complete Scenic Sheep’s Head Gaisce Adventure

Nineteen Transition Year students recently completed the stunning Sheep’s Head walk as part of their Gaisce challenge, enjoying a memorable few days filled with adventure, teamwork, and achievement.

The group stayed in the beautiful Goat’s Path Pods, where students had the opportunity to relax, bond, and create unforgettable memories together while taking in the spectacular scenery of West Cork. The trip challenged students both physically and personally, encouraging resilience, independence, and cooperation throughout the journey.

A huge thank you to Mr Pegler and Ms Shorten for organising and accompanying the trip and for ensuring such a positive and enjoyable experience for all involved.

Gaisce - The President’s Award is Ireland’s National Youth Award and is a direct challenge from the President of Ireland, Catherine Connolly, encouraging young people to realise their full potential. Through participation in the programme, young people develop important life skills, engage with their communities, embrace adventure and wellbeing, and gain recognition for their achievements.

Well done to all students on this fantastic accomplishment.
